K-pop superstars BTS have announced they will take their Love Yourself: Speak Yourself world tour to Riyadh. The boy band will make their Saudi Arabian debut at the King Fadh International Stadium on October 11.

While details have yet to be revealed (including when tickets will be on sale), their show is bound to make lots of K-pop fans in the kingdom happy. Just recently, Super Junior performed in Jeddah with tickets selling out so fast that the website where they were being sold crashed.

BTS has had a massively successful run the last couple of years. The seven-member band made history as the first Korean group to reach the top of the Billboard 200 chart – not once, but three times. They’ve also landed on Time 100’s list of most influential people of 2019, had Mattel dolls created in honour of them, and been offered a Recording Academy membership invite to help choose Grammy Award winners.

The group first formed in Seoul in 2013 and broke through into the US pop market in 2017, becoming the first Korean group to win a Billboard music award. They’ve collaborated with the likes of Steve Aoki, Halsey and Nicki Minaj.

While there are no plans yet for a UAE section of the tour, their Army (the nickname for their fanbase) would surely love to see them come to the emirates. The group last performed in the UAE back in 2016 as part of KCon Abu Dhabi.
