SHARJAH // A jet skier was killed after crashing into rocks in Al Mamzar lake, police have confirmed
The incident took place at 6pm on Wednesday. The victim, a Kenyan woman in her 20s, suffered severe injuries and died at Kuwaiti hospital.
Last year police responded to a number of jet ski accidents including the death of an Emirati woman who was killed in a collision between two jet skis in Al Mamzar lake. The incident prompted Sharjah Police to distribute 23,000 awareness brochures in a campaign to curb accidents.
Sharjah Police urged jet ski users to take caution and avoid stunts that may lead to injuries and the loss of life.
