UAE residents should get ready for chilly conditions accompanied by fog and rain this weekend.

The mercury will dip to between 20°C and 27°C today, having climbed to 32°C earlier this week.

This morning, Abu Dhabi woke up to 19°C, Dubai to 18°C, Sharjah and Ajman to 17°C.

The cloudy conditions will persist and parts of the country will experience 90 to 95 per cent humidity.

There is a chance of fog at night and in the early hours of the day.

Cool winds reaching 40 km/hr can be expected. Moderate to rough sea conditions are likely in the Arabian and while the Oman Sea will have calm conditions.

The overcast skies will continue on Saturday when there could be some rain over the sea and islands.
