Turbulent weather expected as spring arrives in Dubai and Abu Dhabi
Temperatures are expected to rise over the next week, causing rain and strong winds
Forecasters are expecting a sudden change of seasons over the next week, with the shift in atmospheric pressure causing rain and strong winds.
The National Centre of Meteorology said the transition from the winter to the spring period will cause a rapid change in weather parameters.
Temperatures are expected to rise over the coming seven days, while wind speed will accelerate causing blowing dust and sand. This will reduce horizontal visibility and cause scattered rain, with the possibility of thunder.
Rain clouds are expected over western areas of the country extending to the coast starting from Thursday night and will continue until Friday.
On Saturday and Sunday, clouds will continue to flow from the West and there will be scattered rain areas over the north and east.
The NCM forecast said the sea would be rough to very rough at times.
