Two teenage Emiratis were killed in a car crash in Al Ain on Thursday.

Mansour Al Mahri and Musalam Al Mahri, both 18-year-old students at the Khalifa bin Zayed Air College, died when their Nissan Patrol overturned and crashed in Al Salamat area of the city.

Abu Dhabi Police’s Col Ahmed Al Zuwaidi, Director of Al Ain Traffic Department, said the crash occurred due to excessive speed and loss of control of the vehicle, which led to sudden deviation and overturning of the vehicle.

Colonel Al Zuwaidi said that rescue team were dispatched to the scene of the accident immediately after receiving the report. He urged motorists to stick to the speed limits and traffic rules for their own safety.

They will be laid to rest at Baniyas cemetery in Abu Dhabi after Friday prayers in Al Rawashid Mosque.
