Motorists are being reminded that speed limits on two major Dubai roads are being cut to 110kph from Sunday.
The limits on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (311) and Emirates Road (611) are being reduced from October 15 and signs are already displaying the new limits.
The buffer will still apply but motorists will face fines if they exceed the window of 130kph.

The plans for the reduction in speed limits was announced earlier this year after a number of accidents over the past few years.
The Roads and Transport Authority and Dubai Police took the decision to cut down on traffic accidents and improve the safety of road users.
Both roads carry large volumes of traffic.
