Dubai’s transport authority has announced free parking across the city for three days next week to mark the upcoming UAE National Day.

Parking fees will be waived in Dubai on Sunday through to 7.59am on Wednesday, according to the Roads and Transport Authority, except in multi-storey parking.

The RTA also announced new timings for public transport services during the UAE National Day holidays.

“The new timings cover the services of customers happiness centres, paid parking zones, public buses, metro, tram, marine transport, driving schools and testing and registration centres,” the authority said in a tweet.

On Sunday and Monday, the Red Line of Dubai Metro will be open from 5am to 1am. The Green Line will start running from 5.30am and will continue to 1am.

The timings for tram services, which run from Al Sufouh to Dubai Marina, will be from 6am until 1am on both days.

Customer service centres run by the transport authority will be shut on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday for the holiday. For other transport timings, check www.rta.ae.
