Three Dubai restaurant employees have died after a car crashed into their kitchen.
The incident happened in Al Barsha 3 at 3.30am yesterday after the Mercedes spun out of control at high speed and ran into the restaurant, the state news agency Wam reported.
Two Asian employees were killed instantly and two other workers were hurt. A third Asian worker died from his injuries, said the head of Dubai Traffic Public Prosecution, Salah Bu Farousha.
First Lt Imran Abdullah Al Hammadi, from the traffic department of Dubai Police, blamed high speed and reckless driving for the accident.
Lt Al Hammadi said two of the people who died had been inside the kitchen and one was outside smoking.
A Brazilian woman, 21, who was a passenger in the car, sustained "medium" injuries while the male driver, a 21-year old Angolan, was uninjured, Wam said.
Police have referred the driver to public prosecutors.
