Abu Dhabi Crown Prince wishes Special Olympics board of directors success
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed welcomed the Special Olympics International board of directors to a Sea Palace barza on Monday.
The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces wished success to the board, who were accompanied by Timothy Shriver, Special Olympics chairman, and Ayman Abdel Wahab, president and managing director of Special Olympics in the Mena region.
He spoke of the UAE’s efforts to integrate people with disabilities across all areas and applauded the Kennedy family’s for their work in the same field.
The Special Olympics delegation thanked the UAE for hosting the Games and for their support of initiatives that promote the social inclusion of people with disabilities.
The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region; Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed, Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region; Sheikh Saif bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa, Adviser to the UAE President; and Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak, Minister of Tolerance, among others.
