People seeking a marital status confirmation letter will no longer need to be present in front of a Dubai Courts judge to get the document.
A newly launched service means they can acquire it from the headquarters of the Ministry of Social Affairs in Dubai.
The service was launched to facilitate work on social aid applications submitted to the ministry by those seeking to obtain assistance for elderly, widowed or divorced women whose applications can not be finalized without the marital status confirmation.
A team of eight ministry employees will now collect all necessary documents from applicants and listen to witnesses then send the papers to the authorized Personal Status judge at Dubai Courts to issue the letter.
