A marketing manager molested a 12-year-old boy during a game of hide and seek, Dubai Criminal Court was told.
On March 10 the 35-year-old Indian man, who lived next door to the victim's family in Al Twar 1 in Al Qusais, saw the boy playing hide and seek and suggested he hide in his car.
"I was playing with my friend who was on a visit from India when I hid in his car, he then started touching me all over my body," said the boy, also from India.
He said he tried to get out of the car but the man began driving.
"He drove towards a villa then got out of the car to talk to some people, he got in and drove me back home but on our way back he didn't touch me," the boy said.
He told his mother what happened who then called their neighbour and confronted him. "I heard her telling him that she would call the police," he said.
The boy said he saw his neighbour again the following day and the accused tried to lure him into his car again.
The boy told his mother about his second encounter and his mother reported the incident to police.
In court, the accused denied a sexual assault charge.
The next hearing is scheduled later this month.
