A man has been arrested after a pedestrian was killed in a hit and run crash in Sharjah.
Police said the driver sped away from the scene but was later tracked down in the emirate.
The victim, from Africa, was struck by a car on Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road.
He was taken to Al Qasimi Hospital by emergency services, but sadly died en route.
Sharjah Police did not disclose the time and date of the fatal but said they had made an arrest on Thursday.
Police urged motorists not to flee the scene of an incident.
The case has been referred to the public prosecution for further investigation.
