DUBAI // An Indian cook was assaulted and forced to take drugs by a number of his compatriots, a court has heard.
JS, 27, said the men, whom he had a difficult history with, assaulted him and forced him to take the drugs, Dubai Criminal Court heard.
Dubai Police had been tipped-off about the man. But when they detained JS, no drugs were found, police officer OM, 38, said.
However, a medical exam showed traces of hashish in JS’s system and he was charged with consuming drugs. JS denies the charges and a verdict is expected on December 25.
