ABU DHABI // The Marriage Fund has given over Dh15 million to nearly 400 newlywed Emiratis as part of its 2015 grant.

After Dr Maytha bint Salem Al Shamsi, Minister of State and chairwoman of the Marriage Fund, approved the names of 386 recipients and the grants were transferred directly into their accounts.

The Marriage Fund provides citizens with financial support for the formation of an Emirati family, thus encouraging the recipients to marry citizens.

Dr Al Shamsi said the fund was key in aiding citizens by helping them build the most important foundation in the community – family.
