Abu Dhabi police launched a firefighting drone to extinguish a blaze on the 11th floor of a tower on Reem Island, as a test for its latest device.
The drill was carried out on Sunday morning at a Hydra tower under construction.
Police and civil defence personnel launched the drone outside the building and watched as it flew to the open area and stopped the fire.
The drone will now undergo further testing, likely in a desert location.
