Today's sermon will urge worshippers not to seek the help of sorcerers and fortune tellers.
"Please be aware that a sorcerer is immoral, vicious and loser," the sermon says. "Devoid of mercy and overwhelmed with humiliation, as he is, he succumbs himself to the whims of Satan and loses this life and the next. Therefore, he is denied happiness and cannot help anyone else be happy either, despite what he claims."
Muslims should remember that whoever seeks such help will have their prayers annulled.
A hadith by Prophet Mohammed says: "He who visits a diviner and asks him about anything, his prayers extending to 40 nights will not be accepted."
Black magic causes faith to fade away because exploring the unknown goes against Allah's exclusive quality as the Knower of the Hidden.
"No one who is a drunkard or believer in sorcery will enter Paradise," said the Prophet.
The Quran says: "What you have brought is [only] magic. Indeed, Allah will expose its worthlessness." Another verse says: "And the magician will not succeed wherever he is."
