UAE weather: More rain expected as 'towering clouds' form over Northern Emirates

More temperamental weather is expected over the weekend with spells of rain and thunder hitting some parts of the country.

Rainfall on Thursday freshened conditions in Dubai, Fujairah and other parts of the UAE.

The cloud formation will continue to increase over scattered areas, with more rain expected to fall across the country on Friday and Saturday, said the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology.

Easterly to north-easterly winds moderate in general may cause blowing dust over exposed areas, according to forecasters.

Inland areas could have winds up to 34kph and maximum temperatures of 33°C.

Temperatures will range from 18°C to 32°C along the coast and 14°C to 33°C in the interior regions.

Humidity is also expected to reach 85 per cent across internal areas, increasing at night and in the early morning.
