ABU DHABI // One of the region's most popular nightspots is hosting its first party in the UAE over Formula One weekend.

For four nights, Skybar Beirut will occupy a temporary venue on Yas Island to host performers such as Sean Paul, Flo Rida, Alesha Dixon and the British dance duo Basement Jaxx, who will be performing a DJ set.

On Thursday, November 11, Sean Paul, a Grammy winner from Jamaica, will be performing alongside Fatman Scoop, a hip hop artist from the US. The following day Basement Jaxx and Kelis will take to the stage alongside the British rapper Tinie Tempah.

On Saturday night, Flo Rida, who recently hit the charts with Club Can't Handle Me, is scheduled to perform. The last night's line-up features Alesha Dixon, an English singer-songwriter, and the American rapper Pitbull.

Skybar is being hosted by Flash Entertainment, who are overseeing all the entertainment on Yas Island over the next few weeks.

Chafic El Khazen, the chief executive of Sky Management, said he hoped it would be an unforgettable weekend: "We look forward to bringing these unique nights of world-class entertainment and premium service to the capital's hottest party spot."

This purpose-built party space that will become Skybar for four days is a permanent venue called Flash Forums, next to the Yas Plaza opposite the South Marina.
