SYDNEY // England clinched a place in the Women's World Cup final with a 146-run win against West Indies at the Drummoyne Oval on Tuesday. The top-order again paved the way for victory for England with the opening duo Sarah Taylor (78) and Caroline Atkins (50) laying the foundation for their score of 236-8 after batting first. The West Indies reply was quickly undermined by early wickets as they slumped to 22-4, before eventually being bowled out for just 90 in 38.2 overs. Spinner Laura Marsh took 3-17 to book England's place in the final for the first time since 1993.
England's final game of the Super Sixes is tomorrow against hosts Australia, who must win to have any hope of reaching the final at North Sydney Oval on March 22. New Zealand will book their place in the final if they beat Pakistan tomorrow. * PA Sport
