Indian cricketers Zaheer Khan, Praveen Kumar, RP Singh, RS Sodhi and Subramaniam Badrinath have signed up for second season of the T10 League starting in Sharjah next month, organisers announced Wednesday.

The India contingent will join the likes of West Indies batsman Chris Gayle and former Australia all-rounder Shane Watson in taking part at the 2018 edition to be held in Sharjah from November 21-December 2.

“I am happy to announce that we have signed up eight Indian players to play in the second season of the tournament," Shaji Ul Mulk, chairman of league, said in a statement.

"This will encourage players from all over the world to join the T10 League movement and help popularise the 10-over format cricket worldwide in the coming years.”

Officials hope securing the likes of Zaheer, the former India bowler who took 610 wickets across Tests, ODIs and T20 Internationals in an international career spanning 14 years, will "help popularise the 10-over format cricket worldwide in the coming years"..
