Pakistani fashion label HSY is one of the many popular brands exhibiting this weekend at the Ramadan trunk show by Boulevard One. The designer behind the brand, Hassan Sheheryar Yasin, has been creating fashion for more than two decades. He graduated from the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design, and is an affiliate of La Chambre Syndicale De La Couture Parisienne in France, as well as being a founding member of the Pakistan Fashion Design Council.
Acclaimed for creating both fashion-forward ethnic-wear and on-trend fusion and western-wear, HSY designs will be available to shop at the trunk show by Boulevard One, taking place at The Palace Downtown Dubai hotel.
Any woman living in Dubai will tell you that Ramadan calls for new outfits, to be worn at fast-breaking parties, where clothing is just as much in the spotlight as the lavish buffets. Whether it’s a casual iftar get-together at a friend’s house, or a more formal suhoor gathering at a five-star hotel, the style stakes are exceptionally high during Ramadan.
Expect to find a range of cotton tunics, trendy wide-leg trousers and intricately worked formalwear from HSY and the South Asian designers, some of whom include: Ali Xeeshan, Farah Talib Aziz, Mina Hasan, Zara Shahjahan, Saira Shakira, Ayesha-Somaya, Farida Hasan and more. Footwear, jewellery and handbags, both contemporary, and culturally inspired, will also be on offer.
Visit Boulevard One’s Ramadan trunk show on May 19 and May 20 at The Royal Ballroom, in The Palace Downtown Dubai. The pop-up will be open from 2pm to 10pm on Friday and from 10am to 7pm on Saturday. If you’ve got big shopping plans, we suggest heading there early, as past seasons of the trunk show have seen mob-like behaviour over certain coveted garments.
