Longbeach Campground in Ras Al Khaimah is a family-friendly glamping destination that welcomes hundreds of visitors to its canvasses every Thursday and Friday.
From Sunday, March 8 the campsite will be open for stays seven days a week. It will operate on this daily schedule until Friday, May 1.
Free family activities
To complement the extended opening, a host of family friendly activities will be scheduled to run across weekdays. All activities are included in the accommodation rates.
These include paddle boarding, volleyball tournaments, kayaking, Latin dance lessons and more. Children can take part in sandcastle building and pool games, archery, marshmallow roasting and a mini disco.
Cheaper stays
Rates for weekday stays are cheaper than weekend visits, with prices starting from Dh249 for two adults on a room only basis.
Visitors can pick from five different levels of accommodation for visitors to choose from.
Take your pick from a simple fabric-covered bell tent with king-size beds and outdoor camping chairs, or try the safari suite tent where you will be on an elevated wooden platform and have your own bathroom. The top-billing, panoramic dome suite tents offer hexagon-shaped lodges that come with private hot tubs and towering viewing areas, offering the best vistas.
Right on the beach, this glamping spot gives you the thrill of sleeping under the stars without the hassle of having to pitch a tent, source your own food or find a spot close to the ocean where you won’t be washed away after dozing off.
