Wakeboarding
Wakeboarding is an ideal sport for those looking for excitement off Abu Dhabi's coast. Developed from a combination of surfing, water skiing and snowboarding, the wakeboarder stands on a board and is pulled behind a speedboat. Fishing

Fishing on the Arabian Gulf is a popular pastime in the UAE. The best time to fish is in the cooler months from September to April and you can catch anything from a sailfish to a jack. Deep-sea fishing is also available.

In Abu Dhabi, the Beach Rotana, Intercontinental, Sheraton Corniche and Golden Tulip Al Jazira hotels run fishing trips.
