British vlogger Jack Dean, who goes by the name Jaackmaate, surprised his fiancee Fiona South with a trip to Dubai this week.
Prior to arriving at the airport, she had thought they were flying to Bulgaria to celebrate her birthday, when they were actually UAE-bound and heading to Atlantis, The Palm for a holiday.
"Told Fiona I’d booked her a three night stay in Bulgaria for her birthday. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that) But surprised her at the airport with a week at the Atlantis, Dubai," the vlogger, who has over 1 million subscribers on YouTube, shared on Twitter.
South's reaction to the news is adorable
"Are you serious? Don't mess with me,": the visibly shocked woman said, grasping her mouth. Before adding with a laugh, "I [haven't] got good enough clothes for Dubai!"
At the time of writing the video had more than 2.3 million views.
Fun and games in Dubai
The couple seem to have been having the times of their lives in the UAE, posting updates on Instagram for Dean's 100k followers.
So far he has posted images in Downtown Dubai, in the sea at Atlantis, The Palm, floating along the Aquaventure Waterpark lazy river and enjoying a shisha.
Of the Burj Khalifa, Dean wrote: "World’s tallest building the Burj Khalifa. So tall I can’t even be in the same picture as it."
Dean also has nothing but kind things to say about the emirate.
"The people of Dubai have hands down been some of the most polite people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Unreal custom," he tweeted on June 23.
It hasn't all been plain sailing, however, as his phone met a damp end in the Dubai sea.
"Turns out the water resistant iPhone isn’t resistant to hot salty ocean. I no longer have a phone for the duration of this holiday so if you don’t see any stories etc, or I don’t reply to texts - I’m not dead, my phone is," he notified followers on Twitter.
