One hotel in Dubai wants to make sure that this Christmas, it has the perfect Santa. In its quest to get it right, Fairmont The Palm has launched a global media competition asking prospective Mr Klaus' to enter a 30-second video, explaining why they would be the ideal candidate to lead the hotel's celebrations over the festive season.
A statement released by the hotel says that they've got a list, and they will be checking it twice.
Santa’s duties and responsibilities will include: "Checking letters and wish lists from children at the resort – categorising them into the ‘naughty’ or ‘nice’ list with the utmost care and professionalism; examining festive trees to check they are decorated with plentiful sparkle are kept maintained throughout the stay; and managing a team of singing elves for the resort's festive choir, leading the tunes and tones for the perfect festive pitch."
Do you think you've got the relevant qualifications? If so, upload a 30 second video application tagging #MyDubaiSanta #FairmontThePalm to a public Instagram or Facebook by October 30. All applicants must be in their full Santa uniform and state why they would make the perfect fit.
