A timeline for Limitless

2005 Limitless is created with Saeed Ahmed Saeed as the chief executive 2006 Announces plans for the US$11 billion (Dh40.4bn) Downtown Jebel Ali. The company says it will also build the Great Domodedovo, a mixed-used development in Moscow with Coalco, a Russian firm. By late 2007, those plans fell through. 2007 Takes over the Arabian Canal project from Nakheel. Announces projects in Vietnam, India, Pakistan and Jordan

2008 Work begins on Sanaya Amman, a residential development in Amman, Jordan. Work also begins on the Arabian Canal, but is halted by the end of the year 2009 Makes job cuts and reviews its projects overseas 2010 Becomes the first target of the Dubai World tribunal, with a case filed against it by a former employee. In mid-April, the company is granted an extra 90 days to repay a $1.2bn Islamic loan that was due on March 30
