She's already won over Simon Cowell, and now comedienne Siobhan Phillips is heading to the UAE to try her luck with crowds here.

Phillips, who originally hails from Wakefield in England, is known for her hilarious comedy sketches, which usually involve belting out a self-penned song while playing the piano.

The 42-year-old appeared on the latest series of Britain's Got Talent, where she made it to the finals with her quirky Victoria Wood-style songs. Her audition earned a standing ovation from the judges, with a song about becoming a mother later in life.

She's been performing since the age of 16, and spent time as an entertainer on cruise ships before impressing Cowell on the BGT stage. She was also a finalist on Channel 4 reality show Operatunity in 2003.

Though Phillips didn't take home the top award this year, Cowell was a fan from the start, saying at one point that she "lit up the room". She's currently taking her one woman show across the UK.

Phillips will perform alongside two fellow British comedians; Paul Adams and Manuel Martinez. Adams has spent 25 years making audiences laugh, and has opened for the likes of Stevie Wonder, George Benson and Smokey Robinson.

Martinez is a comedy magician, and has also been a regular performer on international cruise liners. He most recently appeared on Star ITV's Fool Penn and Teller, hosted by Jonathan Ross.

Phillips, Adams and Martinez will perform three dates in the UAE: The Club Abu Dhabi on September 19 at 7pm, Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai on September 20 at 7pm, and the Theatre by QE2 on September 21 at 7pm.

Tickets are Dh150 for the latter two shows, and available only to members for the Abu Dhabi show.
