British comedian Romesh Ranganathan will perform in Dubai next year.

Ranganathan, whose self-deprecating anecdotes and laid-back delivery have earned him a place at British comedy’s top table, will take to the stage at Dubai World Trade Centre on Friday, March 20, 2020.

The comedian is currently touring the UK with his new show, The Cynic's Mixtape. Ranganathan has already sold-out four consecutive nights in April 2020 at the 3,500-seat Eventim Apollo in London.

In the show, which has been described as “deceptively sharp and utterly disarming”, Ranganathan touches upon his veganism, as well as the trials of family life.

Ranganathan, who has also written a bestselling memoir, Straight Outta Crawley: Memoirs of a Distinctly Average Human Being, started performing stand-up comedy while working as a mathematics teacher.

He has since appeared on popular British television panel shows, such as Would I Lie to You?, The Last Leg, QI and Have I Got News For You. He has also presented two series of BBC travel show called Asian Provocateur, in which he explored his ancestral history in Sri Lanka.

This will be the seventh instalment of DXBLaughs, a branch of Done Events, the platform that has already brought the likes of Michael McIntyre, John Bishop and Jack Dee to the UAE.

Friday, March 20, Dubai World Trade Centre, tickets start at Dh295 and are available from dxblaughs.ae
