The only grandson of rock ’n’ roll legend Elvis Presley died on Sunday at the age of 27.
Benjamin Keough's death in Calabasas, California, was confirmed by the manager of his mother, Lisa Marie Presley.
Roger Widynowski gave no details about the cause of death, saying that Lisa Marie was "heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated".
"She adored that boy. He was the love of her life," Widynowski told AFP. He said Lisa Marie was "trying to stay strong" for her daughters.
Keough is the son of singer-songwriter Danny Keough, and brother to actress Riley Keough, 31, and 11-year-old twins Finley and Harper Lockwood.
Lisa Marie is the only daughter of American singer and actor Elvis and Priscilla Presley. The rock 'n' roll star was known for hits such as Jailhouse Rock, Blue Suede Shoes and Suspicious Minds.
Keough bore a striking resemblance to his grandfather, who died in 1977 aged 42.
The musician predominately stayed out of the public eye, but did attend the 40th anniversary of Elvis's death at the star's former home in Memphis in 2017.
Nancy Sinatra, who starred alongside Elvis in the 1968 film Speedway, sent her condolences to Lisa Marie on Twitter, saying: "I have known you since before your mama gave birth to you, never dreaming you would have pain like this in your life. I'm so very sorry."
