Dua Lipa is coming to Abu Dhabi next month.

The UK artist is set to make her UAE debut performance at the Du Forum in on February 24.

The news comes on the back of the 22-year-old leading the Brit Award nominations with nods for best female, best video, best single and British breakthrough artist.

It all confirms that Lipa is on course to cementing her place as pop music's next big thing.

Born in London to Albanian parents, Lipa began her career as a 14-year-old by posting covers of songs by Pink and Nelly Furtado on YouTube before going on to work as model.

After signing on to the major label Warner Music Group in 2015, she began working on her big selling self-titled debut album.

In addition to well-received tracks such as No Lie, featuring dance-hall star Sean Paul, and Hotter than Hell, it was her sixth single New Rules that became a smash hit and catapulted her to becoming the most streamed artist on the music platform Spotify last year.

Lipa's performance comes one month before the US girl-group Fifth Harmony's maiden Abu Dhabi show at Du Forum.

Tickets for Dua Lipa go on sale from 12pm on January 16. For details go to www.ticketmaster.ae and www.thinkflash.ae
