Egypt’s Cairokee will play at the second Wasla Festival next month.

Held at the Dubai Design District on February 2, the event has a stellar line-up featuring some of the most acclaimed indie-artists in the region.

Joining the Cairo-based five piece will be compatriots Lekhfa, the Egyptian indie super-group led by Maryam Saleh, and who last year released their brilliant eponymous debut album; the fierce Lebanese singer-songwriter Tania Saleh; Jordanian rockers Autostrad; Bahrain folk group Majaz and Algeria's Gnawa Diffusion.

With this line-up, Wasla is fast establishing itself as the premiere event for those looking to hear some of the most innovative sounds to come out from the region. Last year, the festival kicked off with a similarly epic line-up featuring Lebanon’s Mashrou' Leila and Algeria’s Souad Massi.
