Marvel at the Burj Khalifa: world's tallest building lights up with the Avengers
Move over, bat signal - real superheroes are beamed in full colour onto 830-metre building
The Avengers have assembled on the tallest building in the world.
Avengers: Endgame hits cinema screens in the UAE on Wednesday, April 24, and last night the superhero squad went up in lights on Burj Khalifa in Downtown Dubai.
The world's tallest building went LED blue to celebrate the Marvel movie, with Thor front and centre, Captain Marvel on top and then Tony Stark and what looks like Captain America (or it could potentially be Peter 'Spider-man' Parker) hanging out below the Nordic god. At the bottom of the heap (foreshadowing?) is Thanos.
Burj Khalifa often lights up to celebrate and commemorate occasions: last month it featured a picture of New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern in honour of the victims of the Christchurch attack, and last year Mahatma Gandhi was honoured on the 150th anniversary of his birth.
This isn't the first time Marvel has taken over the tall tower either. Last year, Burj Khalifa lit up in green a few days before the release of Avengers: Infinity War.
