Mansour Alfeely is going to appear in Pierce Brosnan's Abu Dhabi-set movie The Misfits. The actor is best known for his work in Fan of Amoory and Heart of Justice ('Qalb Al Adala'), the latter of which is now streaming on Netflix.

The veteran Emirati star will star in the Hollywood film alongside Brosnan, Tim Roth, Nick Cannon, Rami Jaber and Jamie Chung: and, while little info is available on what his role will entail yet, we do know that his character is called Abu Hirawa.

Syrian actor Rami Jaber shared photos from the set showing that he's likely to be playing an Emirati character, so will Alfeely be his father? He is certainly a dab hand at portraying the patriarchal figure.

He's known for his work in UAE TV shows, and for starring in many horror films; but The Misfits won't be the first time Alfeely has stepped outside of Arabic language cinema for a role. He appeared in 2016 Bollywood action film Dishoom (which was filmed in Abu Dhabi):

And he also starred in the Yasser Al Yassiri film On Borrowed Time, a movie about four men in a Dubai retirement home that was well received on the US film festival circuit last year, appearing at the Palm Springs Festival, among others:

"The volume of local productions has been growing the last few years, demonstrating how important the UAE is to the regional market. Shebab Sheyab clearly demonstrates the wealth of talent we have in this region, both in front of and behind the camera," Alfeely told us last year, after the movie hit US theatres.
