The Emirates Literature Foundation has teamed up with Montegrappa Pens to help encourage literacy and a love of reading in the UAE as part of the Year of Giving initiative.

The joint venture means that with every fountain pen and special edition Hemingway pen sold, the Italian manufacturer has announced it will donate five per cent of its profit to the Emirates Literature Foundation.

Isobel Abulhoul, OBE, CEO and Trustee of the Emirates Literature Foundation and Director of the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature said: "We would like to thank Montegrappa for their continued promotion of a reading habit in the UAE. They have been an integral part of the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature for several years, supporting our endeavour to create the next generation of writers through the Montegrappa Writing Prize."

The Emirates Literature Foundation was established in 2013 and aims to foster a love for literature with a focus on the Arabic language. They are also the governing body of the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature which will be held from March 1-10, 2018.
