As a United Nations-backed team from the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) prepares to travel to Syria and begin an effort to find and identify stocks of chemical weapons, another UN team is already probing seven suspected chemical attack sites, including in Damascus suburbs. Questions abound over whether the regime of the Syrian president, Bashar Al Assad, can be trusted to fully cooperate with these efforts, the result of a proposal brokered by the US and Russia.
