Commuters faced delays into and out of Dubai on Thursday morning, with major roads and highways experiencing heavy traffic.

Motorists experienced delays of up to 30 minutes on the Ittihad road towards Dubai. Further down the city, congestion was also reported around Safeer Mall in Deira City Centre.  Congestion was also reported on the Mohammed bin Zayed Road among traffic heading towards Mirdif City Centre.

Those travelling on the E11 towards the capital were also caught in long queues.

In Abu Dhabi, slow-moving traffic has been reported on Salam Street, Khaleej Al Arabi and Abu Dhabi-Al Ain Road.
