A few accidents took place on the UAE's roads on Monday morning causing some traffic in the early hours.
A minor incident took place on the Dubai-Al Ain Road near Academic City, adding to the already congested highway inbound to Dubai up until Nad Al Sheba 2.
In Sharjah, heavy traffic was reported on the Mohammed bin Zayed Road from the Rifa'a area Dubai-bound all the way to Mirdif City Centre where a major accident was reported.
Sheikh Zayed Road experienced some traffic Sharjah-bound from the Dubai Garden Centre to Al Quoz 3 as well as Abu Dhabi-bound from the Dubai Canal to the Oasis Centre.

Hessa Street was also heavily congested into the city from JVC to the Jebel Ali Race Course. Al Khawaneej road witnessed a backlog of traffic into Dubai too from Muhaisnah 1 to Dubai International Airport.
In Abu Dhabi, a major jam was felt on Salam Street into the capital from the Abu Dhabi Police Officer's Club to Al Reem Island and outbound from Delma Park to the Police College.
Congestion was also heavy on the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Highway going into Abu Dhabi from Saadiyat Island to the Mina Fruit and Vegetable Market.
