Smart seats with WiFi and charging points installed outside Dubai Police stations

Smart seats fitted with free WiFi and USB charging points were installed in front of six police stations in Dubai on Saturday.

The benches have been installed outside the following stations: Al Barsha, Al Rashidiyah, Al Muraqqabat, Naif, Bur Dubai and Al Qusais.

Col Sheikh Mohammed Al Mualla, director of total quality at Dubai Police, said the seats are resistant to scratches and weather conditions. Each seat is equipped with two charging stations and a 4G router, powered by solar panels.

“The seats are also equipped with a technology that allows cooling, auto update, lighting and can also provide people with information about police applications and the number of their users and about weather conditions,” he said.

More benches will be set-up outside other police stations during the second phase of the installations.
