A number of Mercedes-Benz models are being recalled in the UAE after issues with software systems emerged.

Gargash Enterprises and Emirates Motor Company announced that 2018 models of the Maybach S 560 4Matic, AMG S 63 4Matic, AMG S63 4Matic Plus, S 450 4Matic and the S 560 4Matic were being recalled after a defect was found in the hands-off detection software.

A fault with the twisted steering boot hands-off detection has also led to the recall of the Maybach S560 4Matic, AMG S 63 4Matic, AMG S63 4Matic Plus, S 450 4Matic and the S 560 4Matic.

Further software issues also resulted in the recall of the C 300, C 180, AMG C 43 4Matic and the C 200.

Necessary repairs will be carried out free of charge.

The recall is being carried out with the support of the Consumer Protection Department at the Ministry of Economy.

Gargash Enterprises and Emirates Motor Company will contact affected customers in order to arrange for vehicle inspections.
