Three men beat up a hotel valet parking employee after he tried to stop them from hitting his colleague, Dubai Criminal Court was told.

On March 22, the Pakistani valet employee was working at a hotel in Al Muraqqabat when he saw the three Saudi Arabian defendants, aged 25 to 30, approach his colleague who was sitting in a client’s car.

The men began banging on the windows and, when the colleague asked them to stop, they attacked him. It was then that the Pakistani victim, 42, interfered.
"They initially argued with my colleague then suddenly attacked him. I rushed to stop them and they attacked me instead," he told the court.

Records show that they threw him to the floor and hit him with sticks. Police were called and the man was taken to hospital where he was treated for a deep cut on his cheek, a broken nose, and several other bruises on his head.
The Saudi defendants did not attend court to face charges of physical assault on Thursday.
Their verdict will be issued on October 18.
