A study in the Journal of Cleaner Production, Masdar Institute scientists Dr Sanaa Pirani and Dr Hassan Arafat monitored average food waste in 45 hotels. Just 46 percent of lunch buffet food was eaten and 53 percent of food served at iftars. Here are the rest of the findings.
