A 27 year old man have been arrested following the theft of two vehicles in Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi police said the suspect, a GCC national, stole the two vehicles after their owners left their cars unattended and engines running.
Al Shabiya Police Station in the capital received the reports about the stolen vehicles.
Brig Ahmed Saif Al Muhairi, director of the Capital Police Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police, said: “The suspect placed the licence plates of the stolen vehicles. An in-depth search was carried out and the suspect was arrested.”
Col Musbih Salim Al Kutaibi, director of Al Shabiya Police Station, said: “The suspect confessed to his crime and said that he hit a car and ran away.”
Brig Al Muahiri advised against motorists for leaving their vehicles parked while the engine is running.
