The fourth International Diabetic Foot Conference will take place in Dubai from November 14 - 15. The conference, at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel, aims to address the growing global healthcare challenge posed by diabetes-related limb amputations, state news agency Wam said. Among the topics discussed will be the role of various technologies in limiting the prevalence of amputations and their impact on healing and preventing diabetic foot ulcers. "The objective of the conference is to discuss the importance of appropriate vascular interventions and their regional and ethnic variations in diabetic foot care and recognize the growing importance of the diabetic foot as an international health care problem," said Dr. Marwan Al Zarouni, the conference chairman.
