ABU DHABI // Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed has expressed his appreciation for donations to Sandooq Al Watan, a national fund for youth development.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces met a group of businessmen and leaders of companies on Monday at a majlis in the Sea Palace.

The fund was started by businessmen to prepare and train the nation’s children to face future challenges, said Mohamed Al Abbar, member of the fund’s board of directors, during the meeting.

“I saw the brothers donating to the fund and was happy with their unexpected initiative, and I thank them for this,” said Sheikh Mohammed.

“We Arabs as part of our tradition buy the worthy horse, and in this context, we mean the generous, brave and chivalrous Emirati human, who stands, initiates and sacrifices the expensive and precious for his country.”
