Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed: UAE stands firmly with Saudi Arabia
The hand of evil "will not undermine the resolve of our brothers in the Kingdom," he said.
The UAE stands firmly and resolutely with Saudi Arabia in the wake of the challenges targeting its security and stability, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed said on Sunday.
On Saturday, the kingdom intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile northeast of Riyadh.
The missile was fired from across Saudi Arabia's southern border by Yemen's Houthi rebels towards one of the kingdom's major international airports on the outskirts of the capital, an act the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi condemned in the strongest terms on Sunday.
The missile was shot down by Saudi air defense forces, with fragments of the missile landing in an uninhabited area north of the capital, according to Saudi state media.
Sheikh Mohammed, who is also the Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, said the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of UAE security. He said the hand of evil "will not undermine the resolve of our brothers in the Kingdom."
Sheikh Mohammed said the attack proves the rightfulness of Operation Decisive Storm, under the leadership of the Kingdom, stressing his "absolute confidence in victory and the total elimination of any attempt to undermine our security and stability."
