Free animal feed and veterinary services for Northern Emirates farms
DUBAI // Free animal feed will be distributed to 16,000 farmers in the Northern Emirates.
The donations are part of a year-long initiative by the Ministry of Environment and Water and the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority and will include free veterinary services.
The initiative began on Saturday in Al Labsa region of Umm Al Quwain under the directives of General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
Dr Rashid Ahmed bin Fahad, the Minister of Environment and Water, told The National's Arabic-language sister paper Al Ittihad the service is part of the Government's effort to boost food security and enhance the ministry's partnership with farmers across the country.
