Daily checks by Dubai Municipality market inspectors caught 123 illegal workers last month.
"They caught 111 street vendors, five car washers and seven illegal butchers and fish cleaners," said Obeid Ibrahim Marzouqi, head of the markets management section.
"A total of 373 counterfeit products were seized, including 187 DVDs, pirated films and pornographic movies, 42 foodstuff items, 139 ready-made garments, perfumes, cameras and watches, in addition to five alcoholic drinks."
Those detained were of various nationalities and will be deported.
