A new main road running through Sharjah was officially opened last night.
The Dh21 million Al Bahr Road, along the Corniche, will help ease traffic congestion and forms the waterfront of the emirate's Heart of Sharjah project.
The road runs through the middle of the project, which is a 15-year preservation and restoration plan to revitalise the heritage area in the city. Al Bahr Road connects Ahmed bin Darwish Square to Al Merraija Square.
