ABU DHABI // Three brothers today denied using force and kidnapping their employee at the city’s criminal court.

MA, from Bangladesh, said he was violently pushed to the ground and chocked while one of the brothers put his fingerprints on a cheque worth Dh200,000 and made him sign it.

The two Emirati brothers present in court denied the charges on behalf of all of them, stating that they were working a night shift from 9pm to 5am on the night of the incident.

Egyptian witness TK, who works in a shop with MA, said he was called on the night of the incident to pass by the brother’s house though he only saw the brothers discussing business with MA.

Prosecutors asked for certificates from where the brothers said they were working to prove if they were there or not on the night.

The case was adjourned until January 16.
