Emirati para athlete Mohamed Al Hammadi qualified for the final of the Men's 100m T34 on Sunday after finishing second in his heat on Day 4 of the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships in Dubai.

Al Hammadi, 34, finished behind Australia's Rheed McCracken in a time of 15.85 seconds at the Dubai Club for People of Determination Stadium to qualify for the final which is slated to take place at 8.19pm on Sunday evening.

Al Hammadi is one of the UAE's most successful para athletes. He won all of the country's medals - three silvers and one bronze - at the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships in London.

Fellow UAE athlete Nawad Ahmed failed to reach the final after finishing last in his heat.
